1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Bloc ("Bloc," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Bloc mobile app, web experiences, backend services, or related features (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Bloc. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Bloc only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
3. Fitness and Health Disclaimer
Bloc provides fitness, training, and coaching information for general wellness and educational purposes. Bloc is not a medical device, healthcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Training involves risk, including injury, illness, or death. You are responsible for deciding whether a workout, exercise, load, intensity, or recommendation is appropriate for you. Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other symptoms that concern you, and seek medical advice when needed.
Consult a qualified medical professional before using Bloc if you have a medical condition, injury, are pregnant, are returning from illness, or are unsure whether strength training is safe for you.
4. AI Coaching
Bloc includes AI features that can help answer training questions, generate programs, summarize progress, and suggest actions. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.
The AI coach does not control Bloc's local database. AI suggestions are advisory. Supported actions are validated by deterministic app logic before they are applied. You remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to follow any AI output.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- Use Bloc only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Provide accurate information when it affects your training, subscription, or support experience.
- Use proper judgment, technique, equipment, spotting, and supervision when exercising.
- Not misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, copy, resell, or attempt to bypass security or entitlement checks for the Service.
- Not submit unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or privacy-invasive content.
6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Some features may require a paid subscription or other in-app purchase. Prices, billing periods, trials, renewals, and included features are shown before purchase and may vary by platform or region.
Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by those platforms and managed through your platform account. You can cancel renewal in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting Bloc does not automatically cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by the platform through which you purchased, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Bloc may use RevenueCat and related providers to validate subscription entitlements.
7. Ownership and License
Bloc and its software, design, branding, content, and underlying technology are owned by Bloc or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.
You keep ownership of content and training information you create in Bloc. You grant us the rights needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service, including processing your content for AI features when you request them.
8. Third-Party Services
Bloc may rely on third-party services, including app stores, payment platforms, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, AI providers, and operating-system services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. App Stores
If you download Bloc through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also comply with the applicable store terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support or maintenance for Bloc, except as required by applicable law or their own terms.
10. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice when appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using Bloc at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, misuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Termination does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple or Google.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your goals or health circumstances.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bloc and its affiliates, service providers, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or training outcomes arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Bloc for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bloc and its affiliates, service providers, officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your training activity, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the state or jurisdiction where Bloc is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
